Michael Barrett joined the SodexoLive! Baltimore Convention Center team in October of 2014 as General Manager. Previously, he had served in multiple leadership roles at Hard Rock Stadium and the Orange County Convention Center for SodexoLive!. Michael also has experience providing hospitality at high-profile events, including the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and Super Bowls 47 & 50 in New Orleans and San Francisco as well as other large corporate catering events. Prior to joining SodexoLive!, he worked for Walt Disney World at the Contemporary Resort, EPCOT Center, and Disney's Hollywood Studios Region located in Orlando.
Much of Michael’s career has focused on providing consistent training and mentoring, curating innovative hospitality programs, and exceeding financial growth objectives. In short, I strive every day to embody SodexoLive!’s mission of "making it better to be there.”
During the 2017 Visit Baltimore’s Annual Meeting, he was recognized by Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh, after being nominated by the Baltimore Convention Center as the Charlyene E. Grimes Customer Service Person of the Year. Michael’s role has recently grown to Regional Vice President for the Company where he now oversees multiple venues.
