Accessibility

The Baltimore Convention Center is dedicated to ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors. As an ADA-compliant facility, the BCC offers accessible entrances, elevators, and restrooms to accommodate guests with disabilities. Our team is committed to providing exceptional service, ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless and comfortable experience. Whether attending a convention, trade show, or special event, all guests can access and navigate our spaces with ease.
For additional assistance, we have an on-site ADA contact available. Guests can reach out to accessibility@bccenter.org for support or specific accessibility requests.
Phil Carpenter, the Baltimore Convention Center’s Assistant Director of Operations and ADA Coordinator, has earned his Accessibility Coordinator Training Certification (ACTCP) through the ADA National Network and the University of Missouri. This nationally recognized certification is the leading program in the United States for accessibility training and guidelines.

As ADA Coordinator, Phil ensures the Baltimore Convention Center remains compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act while fostering an inclusive environment for all guests. He continuously works to enhance accessibility initiatives through training, innovative tools, and emerging technologies, and is equipped to support both event organizers and attendees with accessibility needs. Phil is also the first and only City of Baltimore employee to receive this certification.
