Created by Baltimore-area high school students, this year-long project capstone project is in honor of the medical staff and Convention Center workers who operated a Covid-19 field hospital at the Baltimore Convention Center, beginning in April of 2020. This permanent art installation includes 1,495 hand-crafted beads representing the 1,495 patients served at the Baltimore Convention Field Hospital when it was operational.


Art with a Heart is a non-profit organization that provides interactive visual arts classes to underserved Baltimore area children, youth, and adults in schools, community centers, group homes, shelters, permanent housing facilities, hospitals, and senior facilities. Art with a Heart’s mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art. (Pictured are 4 out of 23 Students who participated in its creation).
