Meet Executive Chef Gregory Pittman, a southern bred
Chef with world refined cuisine. Chef Greg is originally from Memphis, TN where
he developed his passion for food. Working with family owned restaurants since
the age of seven, he learned early the importance of service through
food. Chef Greg attended LeCole Culinaire in Memphis, TN where he earned an
Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. He values the education he received
while training under great chefs like Chef Quan Anderson (former executive chef
at the Peabody, Hotel, Memphis, TN). He continues to further educate himself
honing his craft through reading and indulging in current culinary
Three years ago, Chef Greg moved to Chicago to better define
his skills by taking on new culinary challenges. While in Chicago
he took the opportunity to diversify his styles and challenged himself to
prepare multiple cuisines ranging from creole to middle eastern.
Chef oversaw two university food and beverage programs where he led
teams of 40-75 employees while ensuring a complete focus on their growth and
Chef has over 10 years of experience leading kitchens as an
Executive Chef covering Healthcare, Hotels, Fine Dining, & Higher
As Chef Greg joins the Centerplate team in Baltimore, he
is looking forward to leading the culinary program where he will bring his past
experiences to further the talent while expanding his own repertoire to include
native dishes from the local Mid-Atlantic cuisine.
Having already experienced his skills we are excited to have
Chef Greg lead our culinary team at the Baltimore Convention Center.
